Newegg or Gigabyte RMA GTX 1070

After a few days of use, my center fan on my new 1070 started making a horrible clipping sound, and it turns out that the fan is hitting a cable behind it. It now has some minor cosmetic damage as a result, and the fact that it took multiple days for this to happen is strange. I'm about to RMA it, since it's still under the Newegg replacement policy and the Gigabyte warranty, but which one should I use? I could just do Newegg then Gigabyte, but if Newegg would just instantly deny it, I'd rather just RMA with Gigabyte. I've heard weird stories about Newegg's response to damage, so I was wondering what you guys would think.

On another note, if for some reason both deny my RMA, does anyone know how one could fix such a problem, or whether third party coolers that fit the 1070 exist yet?

Go to Newegg first. However, they will want you to return in the original packaging (along with all items shipped with the GTX).

You could always go to Gigabtye if some reason Newegg doesn't allow the RMA.

Good luck.

I can't find my original DVI port cover, everything else is where I left it just in case, but not that. I currently have a different cover on, will that doom my RMA?
