Hi everyone. I am building a computer that used to have these configs:

i7 5820k
32gb ram
gtx 1070
2tb hdd
120gb ssd
win 10 pro
h440 green

But then I saw some benchmarks for the recent skylake processors and it looks like the i7 6700k and even i5 6600k outmatch the 5820k in some areas. I will be using this computer for professional video editing, illustration and some gaming, but since at the same time I am a student in all of those areas I don´t think a 6 core processor would be NEEDED.
I don't exactly do this for a living right now (even though I will very soon) so I don't care that much if one processor does a render in 22 minutes and the other one does it in 15, for example. 7 minutes don't justify hundred or even thousands of reais in addition to the cost (I am brazilian so our prices are more on the ridiculous side).
So my new configuration would be something like this:

i5 6600k
16gb ram (The store only has 4x4gb max)
gtx 1070
2tb hdd
120gb ssd
win 10 pro
h440 green

Is that ok?
I haven't found many real-life benchmarks for these processors but it look like the difference is not that big.
Thanks in advance!

Solution
the skylake cpus are faster than the 5820k in GAMING in video editing a 5820k is for sure the way to go as it was made for workstation over gaming
