I am just setting up my build now. I have everything plugged in and i have tried to test some things myself.
Symptoms:
CPU LED light flashes red then shuts off. no diagnostic beeps
Boot Device LED light also flashes red then shuts off no diagnostic beeps
No fans spin
No bios
Black screen
No POST
Setup:
Intel i5 (switched with an a known working i3 to ensure pins werent bent)
No hard drives plugged in
OCZ ZS series 750watt power supply
16gb ddr3 Gskill ARES Ram
Things I've tried so far:
Resetting CMOS
Ensuring the panel (pwr and reset pins) were correctly configured
Switching out processors and using a magnifying glass to make sure the pins on both the processor and the motherboard were not bent (they looked fine to me)
I also called ASUS and they claimed it was because the RAM sticks that i have are not compatible. However i have never heard of this issue. They gave me a list of compatible RAM here
