So i have been thinking about buying a new processor for my computer but i do not know if i will need to upgrade the motherboard aswell. I currently have a Alienware aurora R2 and i have a i7 860 in my computer currently, but i am wanting to pick up the i5 4690k but i am not sure if i will have to buy a new motherboard to with the processor. I have not changed the motherboard from its original but i have upgraded my video card to a gtx 950. Thanks.

Yes, the MSI Z97 PC Mate will do the trick. Its power phases and thermals are decent for everyday use and light to medium overclocking. It is a good quality motherboard.
