So recently got a evga 1070 and installed. After install the driver keeps failing. Gives me an error saying the driver is not compatible with this version of Windows.

What the hell does that mean! I reseated and plugged in a few times now and same thing, I then put my 970 in and it worked just fine with no driver errors.

Do I have a dud card? I have installed over 20 video cards so I know what I am doing. Any idea what I can do?

Windows 10
I7 3770k
8 gb ram

Go to the Nvidia website and download the latest driver, make sure you are chossing the correct OS from the drop down list, for example Windows 10 32 or 64 bit, choose the exact one to your mobo, download it and when you go to install choose custom install, select clean install and try out the 1070 again.

Yes I am def using the right version. X64 . Leaning towards bad card but any other ideas before I RMA?

The fact that the 970 works fine with no issues is why I am leaning towards the bad card.
