Hi everyone

I've purchased a phanteks atx evolv case and also an msi m5 z170a mobo. The case has a usb 3.0 wire to connect to the mobo. The mobo also has usb connections at the back i believe and i wanted to ask does the mobo provide the cable to connect to the usb 2.0 or possibly does my modular rm650i power supply provide it? As i want to make sure all connections are active on my first build

Thanks

Not exactly sure what you are asking here, but.... all of the USB connections on the back of the motherboard are functional. They are hardwired to the motherboard. The USB cable from your case can be attached to the main part of the motherboard (a series of pins that should be labeled), which will then enable the USB ports on your case.

Thanks alot dude that was actually the answer i was looking for whether or not it would work auto as in hard wired or possibly needs another connection. Thank you. Got a bit confused as the case only has usb 3.0 on the feont to use and there weren't any 2.0 slots on the case but still headers on the motherboardm thank you it clears things up for me
