Will the Geforce GTX 950 and 960 and the new released AMD RX 480 work well on my computer or do I need to upgrade my motherboard, processor and/or PSU?

I have :

Gigabyte G41MT-S2 Socket 775
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 Processor @2.66 GHz
i-ball 450W PSU

Thanks.

Thanks for your advice. So, my processor and motherboards are fine to handle either of those 3 cards right? Can you suggest any PSUs that wouldn't cost me too much. Also, how much watt should the PSU have to be safe with those gpus?

I agree, everything else is perfectly fine, but the PSU? DAMMMMN that will suck.
I have a 550W and it can barely hold a GTX 660.

May I suggest getting a 750W PSU?

I'll have a look at the PSU list thanks. How much would it cost me to get the 550W+ PSU? Like one of the cheaper ones that'll still run without any problems?

Will I be able to play those games at at least at 720p at medium to high setting?

I think I'll probably go with either GTX 950 or 960. Do the different models of those two particular cards make a major difference in the performance?

Not a major difference, but 960 is better than 950, the three cards you listed aren't in the same tier and price though, the 950 being the cheapest and the RX480 being the better one. That said you should buy the better one that fits your budget.

As in will the different versions of the two cards(like there are so many different sub models?) make a major difference?
Also, I read somewhere that the motherboard bios has to match the card or something. Can you explain what it is to me and if I'll have any problems regarding that.

Unset BA at OP's request.
Your iBall PSU-shaped object may be able to handle a GTX950, but not the others.
Also, there is currently some concern that the RX 480 draws more than the PCIe specified 75W through the PCIe slot, and there are reports of motherboards being damaged.

Thanks for that.
Yes, I am more inclined towards the GTX 960 since it fits better in my budget and has more stable performance as compared to GTX 950.
Can you suggest an efficient yet pocket friendly PSU that would be able to handle the 960 without any concerns?

P.S. Couldnt stop laughing at "Your iBall PSU-shaped object "

I understood your question about the different versions of a card and that's why I've replied: "not a major difference". For the other question your mobo supports EFI so there's no need to worry about that.

I am in India and I'll call a local shop to ask how much the PSU model I decide upon cost at their shop. I'll also look for it online since most computer components are very expensive in India and its better to order them from overseas.
I can get a GTX 960 on newegg or amazon for about 180$ but it'll cost me around 220-230 to get the same model from a local shop here or even indian sites.

Yes, I understand now. thank you. Now the only concern is if the recommended PSU will fit in my budget. What would you suggest for PSU? as in a not too expensive one but would still do the job without risking my components.

Are you saying that that's the cheapest you found or the cheapest I should get?
