Hey guys!

So I'm looking to build a new PC this summer. No price point. I would probably say 2-3k or so?

My current PC: i7 3770k, 8gb ram, asus maximus v formula mobo, Evga GTX 780, nice 750watt psu, H80 liquid cooler.

New build:

CPU: It seems the next gen CPU are suppose to come out this summer right? I want to buy the gamers model that comes like the 3770k or the 6770k.

Cooler: I'll probably get another cooler like the H80. The newest corsair all in one liquid cooler.

GPU: Evga GTX 1080 SC

Ram: Looking to go with 32gb

PSU: Probably another 750watt

Mobo: ?? Not sure what to do here seeing I don't know anything about the new CPU / sockets

Case: I think i'll go with a full tower case this time.

Anyone know any info about new products/deals etc that will be coming sometime this summer for my new build?

Thanks,
Scott

Why not just upgrade your current system? The i7-3770K is still an excellent CPU and would not hold back the newer GTX 10XX series cards, even in SLI, plus you can always overclock it if you haven't already. IMHO I would upgrade that system to 16gb RAM, depending on your monitor go with either a single 1080 or 1070 (for now ;) ) and you said your were looking into a new case, the NZXT H440 is a really nice case with good airflow or if you want something really classy the Phanteks Evolv ATX Glass is absolutely beautiful.

Well I want a new system this summer. And mainly I want a new system because I will buy the new 1080 card, and I want that new CPU. I will actually keep this old system as well. I plan to run both systems and this old system as an extra / double for when my girlfriend will play games with me.

I currently bought the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q 27-Inch 2560 x 1440 Display 144Hz Refresh Rate WQHD G-SYNC Monitor.

As a second monitor I have an older version of the 144hz Asus release.

If I was to upgrade that ram could I add some more stick to current or buy all new to get 16? I'd like a little more ram for this setup, know any cheap really good quality for that build?

Does anyone know anything about the new cpu architecture coming out next? Release dates, etc?

Well for the RAM you will want the same as what is currently in the system (if your running 2x4gb). The 1080 would be a good choice for that monitor but even with that new card you may need to lower the settings in certain games to get that 144hz. For me I lower settings in games like BF4 so I can have those high refresh rates when they really matter and then on single player games using settings that keep the refresh around 80-100 feels smooth. Here's some info on Kaby Lake:

Release is going to be around Q3 2016.

Should I wait for the CPU to be released this year? Or build a new PC this summer and then upgrade CPU once it's out. CPU will use same socket as something else out now?
