Hi I am wanting to buy the EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti on my HP Ennvy 750-177c Desktop. Does anyone know if 1. Do I need a new power supply to handle this graphics card and 2. A 750ti should work on this without external power, the PSU is 300w it should be fine.
That said if I were you I would try and find a GTX 950 without an external power connector. It will also work, is faster, and has better DX 12 support. There are some new games that won't even work on the 750Ti.

The GTX950 as long as you get one that uses PCIe power only and doesn't have a power plug, your power supply is fine. EVGA makes some, I believe Gigabyte as well. They may not be out yet, but its far more worth it.
