Bridge mode and security

Recently my ISP changed my network so that my Apple Airport Extreme has to connect to the ISP router rather than directly to WAN. So, I had to put my Airport Extreme in 'bridge mode.' The consequence is, it seems, that the guest network feature does not work. Now, what I can do is to instead have my guests connect directly to my ISP router (which also has WiFi). My question: is that as secure as guest network? So that they cannot connect to any devices on the airport extreme?

no not secure, the whole point of a guest network is to keep the networks separate. if the guest join your network they then COULD access all your system through the shared network.
Does the ISP device offer a guest network? most I have seen in the past few years have this feature. if it does you could copy the setting you had on the airport to the ISP's router/modem.

that will work. ISP will give IP to modem, router will give lan ipto airport, airport will take lan ip and setup a network using the lan ip from the router as the wan ip on the airport. I would use the primary router as the main and the subnet (airport) for the guest network. it will have more hops than the main router network.

To be more precise, my Airport is a Time Capsule, so I have to use it as my main network.

But it should still work, I guess.
