The 6+2 Connector is same as the 8 pin just split into two you can allign them togather and plug them in.....

but
aaaaaaY!!!!

Hold on a second that CX unit is potato I say potato get a better unit. For a little sum of money you don't wanna risk your Shiny new 1070.

Grab this PSU: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/9q4NnQ/evga-power-supply-220g20650y1

or Just refer to this link about what GPU to get Tier 1 and 2 are good but its recommended to goTier 1.

do you actually think I need a new one? Ive never had problems with mine and I'm running a GTX 660 OC with an i5 3570k @4.5Ghz. I have razor keyboard connected, razor headsets, 2 led fans 1 exhaust fan, evo 212 cooler. I doubt I'm coming anywhere near 500W anyways

The power supply is fine for low to mid end GPUs like the Mid end one that you have the 660, altough there wont be a difference in terms of wattage. Wattage isnt the only thing that concern powersupplies the capacitors and other components used in the CX PSU unit are not up to the mark. While you are spending that Much on a new Graphics card it is good to protect ur injvestment and supply it clean power ( Speaking interms of long term).
