So I used 3Dmark on my new PC, and I squeaked out a score of 1068. I'm using an intel core i5-6600k CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950, an ASUS z170 pro gaming motherboard, a corsair 650W power supply, and I feel that's a solid build, but I only tested above 7% of all computers. It's a little concerning to me because I spent a good chunk of change on this machine, and I want to maximize it to fullest potential. Thank you!

It's not that there's necessarily a problem, I just want to know of there are any simple tricks or ideas I didn't know about that could make my PC run smoother and look graphically better.

A i5-6600K is going to be overclocked. That is what you are competing with.
How well you can do is determined by the quality of your chip.

As of 5/2016
What percent can get an overclock at a somewhat sane 1.40v Vcore.

I5-6600K
5.0 2%
4.9 11%
4.8 36%
4.7 64%
4.6 88%

So are you saying I need to/should overclock my CPU?

I also realized how stupid I am because the GPU was never actually running anything, it wasn't even on, and now I feel stupid for asking, but how would I turn it on and use 950 as my primary GPU
