Hello, i recently ordered a gtx 1070 OC off of newegg and wanted to know if my cpu would bottleneck.

My cpu is an i5 3570k boosted to 3.8ghz by default.

thanks

Solution
No. There will be absolutely no bottleneck with that cpu n gpu. Even at stock, the 3570k is still an excellent cpu. If you had a prior gen and dual core i3-2xxx with a 1070, then I'd say you have a little bottleneck. That 3570k will rock strong for at least another 1-2 years.

Do you have a Z77 mobo?

Thanks :p and yes i believe so... the reason i ordered a 1070 is because my mobo doesn't support SLI for 2 480's ect...

Here is my mobo - INTEL DESKTOP ATX MOTHERBOARD DZ77SL-50K LGA1155 Z77

A single 1070 would be so much better than 2 x 480. Gonna be a big upgrade from a 480.
With that mobo I'd try for a slight overclock. Don't expect a lot though. Just make sure to have an aftermarket cooler and hopefully you can hit 4.0Ghz.

It has an overclock bar.. it automatically overclocks it to what i set it to.. i've hit 4.0ghz with it before but my temps were 70c w prime 95 after a minute but i heard that prime 95 is unrealistic so those temps for that were ok. Also i felt like i was getting lower fps when i overclocked on csgo...
