I need your opinions, please and thank you! I've also been reading other posts, and tried the suggestions...to no avail thus far. Details:

Case: Corsair 750D Airflow Edition (brand new)
Mobo: Asus 970 Pro Gaming/Aura (brand new)

The mobo's I/O ports will not lineup with the shield that came with the mobo (which IS SECURELY seated in the case). The shield is of the padded back variety, and it DOESN'T have any metal protrusions. There are NO OBSTRUCTIONS, and the shield is FULLY CLIPPED IN to the case. The ports make full contact with the shield> The top ports line up ok, the middle ports are about 1/16 of an inch out to the left (making USB un-connectable), and the bottom ports are about 1/8 of an inch out to the left.

Please note, I have discovered that the pre-installed stand-offs don't all contact the mobo flushly...the bottom left & center stand-offs are about 1/8 of an inch too low (I have confirmed this with a level> the stand-offs are level horizontally, but not level vertically). The ports don't line up lose or screwed down (I had the board fully screwed down before I realized something wasn't right). The case panels are NOT adjustable.

Questions:
1) Should the mobo normally just sit on all stand-offs flushly with ease?
2) If yes to above, should I just RMA this case? Is a bent chassis actually a common thing?

3) Just curious...because I had it fully screwed down WITH this 1/8 of an inch drop...do you think the mobo could be damaged? Or will its natural flex accommodate this?

Thanks SO much for any help. I am beyond frustrated with this...I really don't want to RMA the case, only to have the same thing happen on a new one because I missed something.

Everything should line up perfectly otherwise something is wrong. Only possible difficulty may be with MB standing off from back side because of springy tabs on the back of the case where it meets back connectors of the MB. Once that slight resistance is overcame and two screws are in, the rest should sit perfectly.
