I'm trying to update my HTC One M9 from 5.1 to 6.0.

It bootloader is unlocked and it is rooted.

It has TWRP.

I've downloaded the ROM from the HTC website but when I go to install it says I have the wrong version and I can't install it.

I've gotten ADB but when I go into download mode it doesn't detect it, tried several USB ports and cables but it won't detect my phone. I have installed Sync Manager.

How do I install 6.0 to my phone? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Rooted devices generally do not play well with official updates; HTC's ROM download page even warns you against trying to install a stock update on a modified device. Your best options are probably going to be either getting a custom 6.0 ROM for your device or flashing your device back to stock Lollipop and getting the OTA update.
