Hello

Can I get min. 30 FPS in every game if I upgrade to a Core 2 Quad Q6600. I know its old. As a student I can only afford a used Q6600.

My specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E4400
4GB RAM
Gigabyte GTX 950 Extreme
WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM

I want to play games smoothly at 768p with any setting.

Thanks in advance

Solution
A Q6600 should give you a nice bump over the dual core and allow you to play games the dual core simply won't. I would also add another 4 GB's of RAM. 30 FPS in most games with that GPU and resolution shouldn't be a problem.

Solution
Yes it's worthy upgrade for less than 50$. As suggested above, RAM upgrade to 8GB total is also worthy.
You will be able to play most of the games over 30FPS (in some cases you will have to use less than highest settings)
Though some games like doom, do require a newer CPU.

Thank you all for your answers. I can't upgrade to 8gb ram as my Motherboard supports only up to 4gb. Im from india, it'll cost me nearly $27 for a used one. Or should I go with a refurbished 9550 that'll cost me $61 ?
