Intel i7 4770k cpu
asrock extreme 4 motherboard
16GB crucial balistiz ram
evga nvidia gtx 770 4gb x2 graphics cards in sli
corsair cx 750m power supply

This is what iv been running for quite a while now and I've not had any issues. About a week ago I started getting back into World of warcraft and it ran just fine on ultra settings as it did when I first put it together and should still. However after that first week the cpu fan ramped up and everything shut down. I checked the temp on everything cpu motherboard gpu's and everything seemed within range of what it was supposed to be but the main graphics card was a little higher coming in at about 80c. So I called micro center and asked and they said that was a little warm but still ok and not to worry until it got up to 94. after that it shut down a couple more times and so I took it to a friend of mine thats better with computers than me and after checking everything I noticed that somehow the main Graphics cards plug wasn't all the way on so I plugged it in and made sure the rest were snug as well. after that I played it at my friends house for a few hours as that is as long as it usually took to shut down and if we needed to try anything else I didn't want to make another trip. While there everything ran just fine and that main card that ran warmer at my house was running no higher than 59c with wow going. Side note the room in his place was cooler than mine though not terribly and I was only running the one monitor instead of the three that I typically do at my own house those are the only differences. After getting home I made sure nothing wiggled loose on the ride hooked everything up and put a tower fan blowing in the side vent to help with cooling to see if that helped. Everything was going ok but when I run wow while it has not shut back off on me It still heats up to about 66c. I think at this point we pretty much figured out that the power supply wasn't going bad and the motherboard was also still working. So I'm at a loss from what to do next. Did I overheat that card and now need to replace it as ive heard once you overheat something in a pc it usually continues to do so, or do I just need to get more cooling fans in the case on that card or something else entirely. Thank you for any help I can get with this issue it will be greatly appreciated.

Shutting down under load is a common issue with the Corsair CXs. 2 770s are going to put a large load on that lower quality 750w PSU and it was not going to live long. When I was running 2 770s in my rig it could hit 700w under full load. I suggest trying another PSU.

Yes an 850w power supply is recommended for your configuration.
As far as 80C goes, that's normal for sli/crossfire set ups. You need to mention your PC case model/type and number of fans in the cooling section if you want us to help you out :). I'd recommend a side fan intake if your case allows it for the GPUs and possibly a bottom fan for intake. There are also aftermarket PCI graphics cooler fans but they're hit or miss. cheers!
