Hi guys.
This is my build:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($180.00)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Mushkin ECO3 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Rosewill Stryker M ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Rosewill 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Amazon)

I installed windows 7 Professional ( I ended up using the windows image utility from asrock to create the usb installer because the gigabyte one gave me some error messages), and no problems when installing.

The problem I'm having is my usb flashdrive that has the gigabyte drivers isn't being read, so I can't connect (no ehternet driver has been installed) to the internet nor use the flashdrive to install the necessary drivers. It's not being recognized by windows.
My mouse and keyboard are usable via USB, so the usb ports seem to be non-defective.

I tried connecting to the internet via a wired Ethernet cord, and while the ports on both ends up light when inserted, I can't connect to the internet. This is not being recognized as well.

Is there something I need to do via Bios? Are there some windows settings I need to look into?
I"m not tech savy, so a simple solution would be grateful.

Thanks.

Is this a windows clone from a prior PC ? Or is this a new windows install ?

Have you tried a "safe mode" boot to load your MB drivers? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17419/windows-7-advanced-startup-options-safe-mode

Have you tried a "repair install" to refresh drivers if this is a cloned win7? http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/repairing-windows-after-motherboard-change/ebcb379b-a7b4-433a-b872-475a934d6b04?auth=1

Aside: the win10 from win7 upgrade is just about gone, only a few weeks left to do it. If you are going to win10 anyway, you can download an install a fresh win10. See if that works. If it does you can use the windows key from the win7 system to validate the win10 install.

Hi. It's a fresh installation.

I guess I will try to just download Win 10 see if that works.
Can you recommended me a place I can get the win 10 iso and install it directly?
The microsoft website I looked at, only allows for an upgrade.

Thanks.

After I boot in safe mode, what exactly would I do to get the drivers onto my computer? This is a fresh installation.

Thanks.

The MB came with a drivers disk and instructions on how to load them in the manual. You may need to go to the mb maker's web site to get win10 drivers. They will likely have instructions for loading via usb if you do not have an optical drive.

Microsoft has a tool to download win10 for use as a clean install. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/ or google win10 media creation tool.

Thanks. I fixed the problem by using the command prompt during the Windows repair option screen.
I had to enter some commands to create a folder in my C:\ and then transfer the files from my usb via the command prompt.
