Ok heres my thing. my motherboard runs a amd phenom ii x4 955 black edition. But what I wanted to know is there a faster n better AMD cpu I can replace the amd phenom ii x4 955 black edition for in the SAME motherboard so I dont have to get a new MOBO wit the new CPU?? A small list of better CPU's then mine that will work in place would be great. thank you. Ill get the mobo info in a bit n post it if that will help when im done with this

The X4 955 is 3.2GHz. The best X6 1100T is only 3.3GHz. You can overclock your 955 and do better. The extra cores won't help with todays software very much. Not worth the expense that is better utilized in other areas of your computer.
