Before I get into it, I've tried all the steps in the stickied thread about booting and no video etc, but nothing seems to work. So recently I bought a Corsair RM 850x power supply, I proceeded to install everything correctly and when I turn it on, it goes for about a split second then turns off. Thinking it was another component that was causing the problem, I tested everything making sure nothing was dead or faulty, and nothing was. I did this by trying the paper clip method as well as trying my stuff on my friends computer. Everything seems to work until I plug in the long 24 pin connector to the mobo and then the problem starts. Again, thinking that the mobo is dead or faulty I pulled out my old 520W psu and plugged it into my mobo and it worked perfectly. I called corsair but haven't gotten a reply yet but maybe this is a compatablity issue or a bad psu? I don't know, but my motherboard is ok and should work with this corsair psu, I assure that everything is plugged in correctly and that I haven't had any component issues lately.

Thanks for your reply, once Corsair gets back to me I'll see if that solves it
