Best Quad Core Motherboard for AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core

Solution
Motherboards don't have "cores". That is a function of the CPU. You need a motherboard with a SOCKET that is compatible with the FX6300. That would be an AM3+ socket. pcpartspicker.com can give you a list of compatible motherboards if you pick the CPU first.

It's been a long time since I last logged into tomshardware. Anyways, I didn't know that the CPU is the one that has cores because my dad told me before that he needed a new "quad core" motherboard in which I assumed that the motherboards have cores inside of it haha! But for now, I decided to go for the MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard (cheapest one before the 990FXA) which is excellent for the FX-6300 running @ 4.5GHz.

During the days building my very first gaming PC, I've learned alot of things about computers such as motherboards, CPUs, GPUs, overclocking and other tricky things about PCs!

After several weeks, this is what the build looks like, https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/bgD8TW
