This is a new computer; I scavenged some parts off my old computer (an optical drive, as well as the graphics card) but otherwise everything is a new component.

Last night, I finally got my system assembled, everything to power on, ect. Got the whole thing to boot up, optical drive worked, case fans and case LEDs turned on, CPU fan and GPU fan turned on, ect.

I installed Windows 7, then set it to upgrade to Windows 10 overnight while I slept. By about 6 am, when I went to sleep, it had finished downloading Windows 10 and was starting to install it.

This morning, at about 10 am, I woke up. The PSU fan was on, the green motherboard light was on, the case LEDs and front power indictator on the case were lit up, but nothing else was running - no case fans, no CPU fan, no GPU fan, though an additional green light on the motherboard (the EZ XMP light according to the manual) does light up, none of the POST state LEDs did so. The optical drive works.

I assumed that a reboot failed after observing the system for a short while, so I turned it off, then turned it back on. Same symptoms.

Worse, the system won't POST.

There are no POST state LED lights coming on on the motherboard, but the EZ XMP light does turn on when I power on the computer.

Things I've Tried

Turned the system off and back on again. Turned off everything, including the power supply, then turned the power supply back on and then turned the system back on.

I unplugged the whole thing from the wall with the PSU off for an hour, then turned it back on. Nothing.

Connected the pins to clear the RTC RAM with a screwdriver and a paperclip. No effect

Removed the CMOS battery from the motherboard for several minutes, attempted to clear the RTC RAM again before reinstalling it. No effect.

Windows 10, 8.1 and 8 hardware use the new UEFI to replace the traditional BIOS. The "secure boot" error coming with the UEFI helps to make sure that your PC boots using only firmware that is trusted by the manufacture, prevents rootkit malware and provides an additional layer of security.

All PCs with a Windows 10/8.1/8 logo sticker have secure boot enabled by default. However, sometimes you may want the UEFI secure boot violation policy that is stated disabled in Windows 10/8.1/8 to run some PC graphics cards.

If you use a graphics card that isn’t compatible with UEFI and fit it to a Windows 10 PC, the computer may not start (or boot). If The graphics card is not UEFI-compliant, it means that the graphics card might stop your Windows 10 PC from working.

On your motherboard the default SECURE BOOT setting is Windows UEFI Mode.

Yes, i am pretty sure this got something to do with UEFI.
But in my case, windows 10 have installed. Just couldnt load due to "lost" 100mb efi partition.
I had to create UEFI-bootable flash drive with OS on it, clean my primary SSD drive, delete all of the content and partitions, boot from USB in UEFI mode. Pretty sure windows 10 should do everything right on a clean install, it automatically makes your drive GPT and creates this hidden 100mb boot partition.
OR maybe you should search your BIOS for option to disable secure boot and make it legacy BIOS compatible, that should make it usable for standart install on MBR partitions.

How would I change this without access to the BIOS screen? The motherboard will power on, but it won't even spin up the fans. Nothing ever appears on the monitor. The only thing which seems to be on is the PSU; the motherboard has a couple lights on. The guides I'm finding are all about how to do it if you've got a computer you can boot up; I can't even get that far.

I cannot access my BIOS; the computer motherboard comes on but it won't let me into the BIOS or anything. There's nothing ever displayed on the screen, even with the GPU removed (I tried this, using the onboard graphics; nothing will display on the screen). I power on the computer, but nothing but the PSU fan comes on; the motherboard claims to have power and does not show any lights indicating boot failures, but it never goes anywhere or does anything, and just sits there.

Did your computer just give you a black screen? How did you circumvent this problem and get it to load a UEFI from a flash drive? If I removed all the SATA drives, could it help me get to the BIOS?

I've tried inserting a USB with a BIOS in it at boot, but it didn't do any good.
