Looking for a good, reliable Bluetooth and Wifi solution.

What's a good, reliable option to add Bluetooth AND Wifi connectivity to my desktop? Here is my PC build:

Is there a good, reliable USB 3.0 adaptor? I have an older PC as well and I like the idea of being able to just unplug the adaptor from my main desktop and being able to take it with me to where my older PC is (campground), but that isn't a must. Fast, stable and reliability take precedence here as I game a lot on my primary PC, and a PCI card would also work just fine! Thank you!

I use USB bluetooth and wireless dongles for my laptop, it doesn't have bluetooth built in and the internal wireless is fishy, it is a cheap laptop, from what I've found, the USB wireless adapters with antennas sticking out seem to get better reception overall, though, the nano USB seems to be all right, you're gonna want to stick to the 2.4 GHz band if you can, while not as fast, it's pretty solid and you can get signal easier through walls and such, depending on other factors. As far as bluetooth, I've used four or five different dongles, but they all seem to be about the same in quality and reliability.

5GHz is great for speed, but not so much reliability, even when you're relatively close to the router, you can have a spotty connection, the 2.4Ghz spectrum is usually more congested, but also more robust with better penetration. If you're gaming, either band will give you the relative same latency which is what's important for gaming, if you're downloading movies and such at higher resolutions then the 5GHz bandwidth starts to become beneficial. If you're dead set on 5GHz, then it's best to have line of sight to the router and antennas.

On the other note, there are only so many adapter chip manufacturers, and many different usb manufacturers use the same brand chips, the ones with the same internals will perform similarly. The best option is wired, then homeplug or powerline, then PCIe adapters, then and last, USB. This is like you telling someone you need the most reliable civic. internally their all pretty much the same with some high end special home made models being the exception, not the rule.
Find one with an external antenna for USB or a card, and remember, they're all pretty well the same, I've got a rosewill N900 that was fabulous, about 30$, got three antennas, I bought antennas for it with magnets and 1 meter cables so I could place them line of sight to the router and all on a different axis. I'm maybe 15 feet from an Asus router with open firmware boosted, and the signal was spotty. Reports back from the router say there's too much interference to get a nice clean fast signal. You have to remember, everything is wireless something nowadays, and because 2.4GHz penetrates walls and such, you're going to get interference from not only other peoples wireless systems and devices, but also coffee makers and smart TVs and such. I'm sorry to tell you, but there isn't a clean easy answer, they all suck, but they all will get the job done. Bluetooth USB, no reason to spend over 15$. If you need wireless and have to go USB, don't spend more than say 11$. PCIe card, maybe 30 - 35$. You can get a good fast powerline adapter setup just router to your computer for like 60$. If you can, get a wire get into your crawl space and wire yourself to the router.

I appreciate the replies, but did you truly read my opening statement? I know all about the hierarchy of connections, and my PC is presently connected to my router via a wired connection. They can't all suck or else none of them would sell and all the manufacturers would have given up making them or gone out of business. I'm asking for fast, reliable suggestions for preferably USB Bluetooth and wifi adaptor, though PCI is also an option, not a rundown of who makes what and that this brand is the same as the other one, etc. if that's what I was asking, then I'd have asked it. If anyone is going to respond without answering my question, then I'd prefer no response at all. Thanks.
