So I cant find ANYTHING on google leading me to a direct and easy answer on how to take care of this issue. I seem to have residual files on my SSD preventing me from installing certain files, despite having no trace of them in the registry so I am trying to wipe it, however. Whenever I look for a fix on how to do this i am directed to blogs that tell me to use parted magic or some other paid service. I seem to be unable to quickly format the drive from the computer menu as it is my C: drive. I am using CCleaner currently to go through the process of wiping the drive but I am wondering if there is a better method that preserves the integrity of the SSD. I cant seem to install my vendors SSD utility due to some issue with the temp folders (which I moved to my HDD, but I moved back to my SSD when prompted with the error message, but no result)

OK, irrelevant.
What make drive is it? Does the manufacturer have a Secure Erase application?
Or just delete all partitions with diskpart, from a cmd window.

Start over completely.

You can totally wipe out everything, and I mean everything, on C quite easily. At boot, mash f5 long before windows starts. At the prompt choose the command prompt. CD \\. Format C: /s.

Unless things have drastically changed since doing that for years from win95 - winXp, that'll totally Wipeout everything, including windows, leaving you a blank ssd with only a few basic system files loaded. To have a fully blank ssd, don't use the /s conmand.

Partition Magic is free to use for the basic stuff. It's only advanced usage that requires paying for the full veRion upgrade. Most programs of that nature are the same.

Pretty irrelevant in my opinion, as I simply need to know how to wipe the drive as ive tried all other methods to get the programmes to install.

Thanks. I tried using partedmagic but there was no option for free installation. Ill try one of the others.
