Im connected to my router through ethernet, yet my laptop decides it wants to use the WiFi instead, Ive already tried to re-install the driver through the device manager.

Focus on solving the ethernet problem.

The first step is almost always to get the driver directly from the hardware manufacturer's web site, since Windows Update is sometimes the source of the problem.
