Hi everyone, I recently purchased this PC http://www.microcenter.com/product/463835/M32AD-US072S_Desktop_Computer and updated all the drivers besides the BIOS. I noticed my BIOS were old and found a new BIOS update https://www.asus.com/us/Tower-PCs/M32AD/HelpDesk_Download/ (I have windows 10 64bit) Before I was about to update my BIOS I did some research and found out some people had a PC hardware failure after updating the bios similar to my pc model https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/3zsfx4/asus_m32cd_bios_update_completely_messed_up_pc/
I am not sure if it is safe to update my bios and would like to know if i should update it.

Solution
I would update the bios if you are running Windows 10. Windows 10 comes with many generic drivers and they require the bios to conform to certain standards.

People will have problems if they have windows 8 and custom motherboard drivers, upgrade to windows 10 (they keep the custom windows 8 motherboard drivers) then they update the bios. They now must install updated motherboard drivers to match the updated bios.
Odds are that a clean install of Windows 10 with the bios update would have been fine.
Or a window 8 to 10 update with the old bios and motherboard driver would work.
Or a window 8 to 10 update with new bios and new windows 10 motherboard drivers would work.
Or new clean install of Windows 10 plus new bios might work...

(Most likely to fail)
Worst case is the windows 10 upgrade with old windows 8 motherboard drivers and a new bios. Just because some bios upgrades are tied to certain motherboard driver versions.
