I have a 24" 1080p monitor already (Viseo 243D), and I'm looking for another one to have a dual monitor set up. I would get another Viseo 243D but they are no longer being manufactured so I can't. I could get another 24" monitor but I don't think it'll look nice as the dimensions of the 2 monitors would be different so they won't line up properly. For this reason I think it's just better to get a 27" monitor to have one big monitor and one small one. I don't want 1440p as that will stress my GPU.
