Alright alright. This is my first time ever building a gaming pc, and i wanna make it right. But knowing me, its not gonna be easy because there is so much to choose from nowadays. Do i want an i3-6100 or an fx-6300... I don't know! Both have their advantages. So i am now here to ask the community of Toms Hardware!

So i'm building a gaming pc, i said that already, right? After finally saving up enough money i'm ready to do it. My budget is between $500-$600, preferably around the $550 range. Now i'm not a hardcore gamer buy any means but i want power! A good cpu, definitely 8gb of ram and 1tb of har drive. If possible a fully ATX motherboard, but if it has to be micro-ATX, whatever. As for the gpu, somethin good. Maybe a 380. Something with 4gb hopefully. A decent size power supply so i can upgrade in the future without having to worry about it too.

Thank you for all the help!

I suggest that you take a look at these builds, I have made different scenarios so you can get a bigger picture on deciding your final build.

i hate to break it to you but you're not gonna get alot for that kind of money. my best advice is to start with a quality cpu, mobo, and psu and build up from there, even if you have to buy the parts over time. and it might mean you have to hold off on the gpu for a while.

Another one with AMD cpu but with gtx 960, which is a very decent card:

You can mix certain components within your own preference, for example you could switch the Evga 650 watt gold with an evga 700 watt bronze, also you could add another stick of ram, or taking the gtx 960 with the first build, and vice-versa the R9 380 with the second one, either way both cards offer great performance on 1080p gaming.
