I have built computers in the past maybe 6-7 years ago, and it's all very different. Would this be a good combo or not? I want to know about what games will I be able to play and is it worth it.

Well, you're not getting a God-like build with $650. Or else nobody would spend more than $650!

But what I recommend is to ask when you've saved up the money. It very rarely makes sense to get too specific at speccing out your parts 2-3 months before you're ready to purchase.

i would consider some intel processors at that price point as amd's are typically inferior for most applications but i would reccomend the rx 480 for your gpu. it just hit the market and gives you 970 perf for just a few dollars more than a 960.

I need the best cpu and gpu for playing and recording csgo and a few others. I just need to know what games I could play with what parts. I dont like many of Intels products due to price, and I could really go without the i3. What would you use on a budget of 650$. Btw I am a slow growing youtuber and that is why I want a better pc as well. Also I want a water cooler for the cpu.

well for that price if you can build a pc around those two specs then you are doing pretty good. what kind of perf will you generally get with those specs in most games? you will definitely be able to play most games with those specs (especially cs:go) at medium to high levels without issue. some games will scale better than others but with that cpu and gpu you would really only run into problems on games like witcher 3 and metro last light, games that are on the cutting edge graphically.

crossfire is running 2 gfx cards in one system. this would require a crossfire-capable motherboard. with those specs you would be able to play all but the most demanding games at medium to high settings.

So what can I do with the i5 and the RX 480 that is out of stock. Lol. Anyone got a spare for neweggs price? Anyways the reason I am asking is because bills are tight, and it will take about 9-10 weeks to get all of this. I just need a God-like build with $650
