I just replaced hdd in my Toshiba U840W. At first I could see my new SSD in bios but every time I tried installing windows it was showing no bootable device after restart. I fixed that by using legacy boot but since then my SSD is not recognised in bios and I can only see 59gb.
Oh and in disk management in windows 10 there is no unallocated space...

Any help would be highly appreciated.

I bought this laptop originally with windows 7. I recently upgraded to win 10 after my wifi stop working. I used recovery media creator and installed win this way from USB disk. This laptop has got another tiny 32gb SSD installed. As I said in bios it shows that tiny 32gb hdd but where the 500gb samsung evo should be it says none.

I might actually remove that 32gb hdd tomorrow to see what happens. It's too late to do it now unfortunately ...

Make sure both the data and power connections are firmly attached to the SSD. Also, in Device Manager, what make/model device does the system recognize for the disk you showed in Disk Management?

Did you install the Samsung Evo yourself?

Connection is def not a problem. I did installed it myself. Device manager only says intel raid 0 volume. As the other tiny SSD is only 32gb and I have 59gb now I guess EVO is working but I did something wrong and not sure what it is...

As I'm reading about raid 0 now it looks like that's the problem. How do I remove it? Fresh win install?

To be honest I have no idea how did I managed to do that. Is there a way how to change it or do I have to reinstall windows again? If so how do I go around it?

Unfortunately I can't see that option in Bios. It looks like there is no option like that and RAID is automatically on for some reason. It's really fresh windows installation so at this stage I'm more than happy to reinstall it just not sure how to get rid of RAID. Would removing that small hdd help?
