So about a month ago I built a gaming pc and it was working fine. I brought the desktop over to a buddys house and took the side panel off to show him a couple things on building his new computer. I unplugged a few things in mine but I made sure they were all plugged back in. Now, when I hit the power button, the fans go and everything lights up for about .5 of a second then it shuts down.. All my components worked fine 2 days ago.

And make sure you're 100% grounded to your computer chassis all the time, every time you perform computer surgery.

I had a buddy of mine pull out my Cyrix mathco chip in my 386 machine, many moons ago. He had never seen one before and was curious. Unfortunately, he...
