will my i5 3330 work on a new z170 type motherboard like asrock fatality z170 gaming k4.

No. That I believe is an 1155 socket.

No, it won't work. The i5 3330 is 1155 socket and Z170 is 1151. You will need a processor from the Skylake architecture to use the Z170 motherboards.
