Recently I upgraded my graphics cards form gtx 970 to gtx 1070.

For example, I tested my graphics card in battlefield 4 ultra setting , the fps rate is not very impressive, sometimes it drops to 50-40 fps. Maybe even the 1070 minimum fps worse than gtx 970?

Here is my computer specs:

CPU: Intel i5 4460 @ 3.2ghz
GPU: Asus Geforce GTX 1070 Founder Edition (before is Gigabyte Gtx 970 )
Motherboard : Gigabyte b85m gaming 3
RAM: Kingston 8gb ddr3 1600mhz x2
HDD : Toshiba 1tb 3.5 Hard disk
PSU : Cooler master V550 (80plus)

OS: Windows 7 pro 64bit
DirectX 11

Here is my testing video (gtx 1070 battlefield 4)

Can anyone tell me why my 1070 seems bad plz ?
Is it my CPU not strong enough or any
problem?

Solution

It most likely means something is bottlenecking you, such as your CPU, RAM, V-sync, or even storage.

Ummm it's normally about 75-82 degrees Celsius when I play the games. Is it temperature problem?

I check other people who uses gtx 1070 , the temperature is similar to that .

Did you do a CLEAN install of drivers?

It seems okay everything is work , I just don't understand why my gtx1070 cannot perform well like other people.

Maybe it's my mental problem, gtx1070's minimum fps worse than 970?

I remember someone livestreaming on there new gtx 1070. He played 3 games Rise of the tomb raider , BF4 , and dying light. Im sorry I do not remember the exact fps he was getting in all the games but I remember he had problem with BF4 and said that his gtx 980 performed better this was a while ago and I do not remember. It seems you get adequate performance in other games. I'd wait for a patch then see.

Here is a video if you want to compare : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ghLf4_87Zc

yeah, i guess so . i tried use GPU tweak2 to adjust my graphics card performance but the GPU usage still on 40%-50%. It does improved the usage maybe the usage can reach to 70%, but it still unstable.

Maybe something is bottenecking GTX1070 performance,i will try to upgrade my pc.

If you are getting enough FPS, you might not need to, even if usage is low. That just means you have more GPU than you need. You could also try using VSR/higher resolution to put it to good use.
