I have an old but still great Core2Quad Q8400, overclocked to 3.2GHz. As the title says, I was wondering if I could lower down the idle frequency of the CPU, for energy saving purposes. The lowest point that it can reach is 2.4GHz. Can this be pushed further down, eg 2GHz or even lower?
