Hello!

So I recently acquired the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080 OC, and I love it. It lights up, got a good graphics score of 22 386 on FIRE STRIKE 1.1, and it can overclock to 2050 mhz while maintaining temperatures under 60 and staying super quiet.
As I looked around the forums more and other websites, I see people perfer the MSI Gaming X and the EVGA FTW Edition more, and just keep on seeing hate on the ASUS ROG STRIX. Why is this? Obviously I will not change, but I would just like to know why people don't perfer Asus when it says it has the highest clock speed (I know this means nothing because people can manually overclock it to this speed or even more, but still its listed as the highest clock speed so it would for sure draw in more customers right?) I would very much like a comparison between ASUS, EVGA, MSI, GIGABYTE, Zotac, and PNY gtx 1080's (obviously not the reference cards) on which is actually better at price per performance. The gtx 1080 megathread's stats are not enough since those are just clock speeds that the manufacturer says, testing can be very different.

TLDR: I got my ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080 OC, love it, but would like a comparison with the other non-reference models on price per performance to see if I could've gotten a better deal.

Solution
That's the one I'm looking to get, but am holding off for a bit to see if Asus comes out with a Matrix model - I love the Strix Cards have a pair of 980s and a 980TI - all have been great

this is the one to look at. it has all the cards they have reviewed all togteher and none of them is any better than the others. even oc'ed they all stay right together like this. so grab the one that looks the best to you and is priced right and you can't go wrong. if you wish to compare specs and power needs and such, they are all listed here in one nice list. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3047729/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1000-series-megathread-faq-resources.html#17902597
