[Buildingmy first pc] i need help with knowing if my parts will work together / if improvements can be made

Solution
I have a very similar system, albeit with a Maximus VI and older i5..but nonetheless it's one of my favorite motherboards I've ever owned and the GTX 1070 is amazing. It was very easy to put together but I have built lots of computers in my life, check out some YouTube videos if you are feeling unsure about anything.
I would also agree with WiiUMasterGman's suggestion of dropping the i7 and going SLI. The i7 is largely unnecessary for most games, the i5 is plenty powerful and will have lots of thermal overhead for overclocking with that water cooler.

thanks for all the feedback, the reason i chose the i7 is becuase not only am i going to be playing games on my system, i am also going to be hosting privet servers and 3d renders, so i need the processing power.
