I had a q8400 2.66 GHz (Oced at 3.1Ghz)
8 GB RAM DDR2-800Mhz
2 HDD (1 SSD-1 SATA)
I'm wondering if i would be able to handle the vga with that PSU?

Solution
Yes you should have no problems with that setup! I used a TR2 Thermaltake 600wt with a PNY XLR8 Nvidia Gtx470 gpu and the gpu was FERMI based with 2 6pin power connectors at 350watts/95c temps! Yipes! Ran for 2 yrs no problems with the Thermaltake TR2 600wt psu! The 650ti needs at least 400wt and 20amps on the single 12v 6pin rail. Good Luck!

With the same things:
I had a q8400 2.66 GHz (Oced at 3.1Ghz)
8 GB RAM DDR2-800Mhz
2 HDD (1 SSD-1 SATA)
Asus GTX 650 TI.

I have heard the same thing about the TR2 PSU series but mine has been great and I believe Thermaltake revised some of the components since the first couple years of sales and fails! I got my 600wt TR2 in 2010 it ran a i7 860 and gtx470 (100w cpu and 350w gpu)for a couple years now it is still running the i7 860 and a Evga FTW gtx960 everyday!
