Approximate Purchase Date: within two months

Budget Range: 1000-1500 with as many rebates as I can get

System Usage from Most to Least Important: running games smoothly on ultra settings, basic programming in IDEs like Visual Studio, running a virtual machine or two

Are you buying a monitor: Yes, 2-3 monitor setup

Parts to Upgrade: everything

Do you need to buy OS: yes, Windows 10

Preferred Website(s): anywhere that has plenty of customer reviews and a good return policy

Location: Lawrence, Kansas

Parts Preferences: well known/reputable brands

Overclocking: No to begin with but in the future I would be very open to OCing for that extra performance needed to run more demanding games

SLI or Crossfire: Same answer as above. I'd like to leave the option open if it is cost efficient when the time comes

Your Monitor Resolution: have not decided on my monitors yet

Additional Comments: ideally this build will last me 5-10 years, be able to smoothly run pretty much any modern game at ultra settings, have the flexibility for cost efficient upgrades down the road, and have no bottlenecking/compatibility issues. I don't care how everything looks in the end but it would be nice if it ran relatively quietly without having to sacrifice performance.

I'm upgrading now because all of the parts in my old computer are at least 7+ years old and can no longer run games I want to play such as Arma 3 among many others. Recently my hdd died and I don't have a replacement/backup. While this is unfortunate is it also a good catalyst for hastening me down the path to something greater.

Here is a list of components I have compiled over the last few days. Are they compatible, could something be better? Any insights into improvement are welcome.
