Hey guys,
I'm working on my first build and I've got some questions about it. Hope you guys can give me some good advice! Would really much appreciate it Here are my current thoughts:
CPU: I5 4460
I'm doubting wether I should save up more for the 6600k... Do you guys think it's worth the extra €90? Because if so, I should also buy an even more expensive mobo/ram if I want to get the most out of that cpu. Especially when overclocking
CPU Cooler:
Thermaltake NiC C5
OR
Corsair H55
Wich one do you guys prefer?
Motherboard: So this is a thing at wich I'm not sure about atm... What would be the best mobo for the I5 4460? And what things should I take in consideration? I want to build a red theme build so a red-ish mobo would be nice I have around €100 to spend on a mobo. I'm not planning on overclocking right now but I might in the near future with the previous mentioned 6600k...
Memory: G.skill ripjaws series 2x8 GB DDR3 1600MHz
GPU: GTX 970 4GB (MSI or Gigabyte? Is there any big difference and if so which one would be the better option?)
HDD: WD 1TB
SSD: kingston V300 120GB
PSU: Seasonic M12ii 520W
(I want to buy a psu that I can customize to my red-ish theme and since this psu is modular it looked like the best option for me. Would it be any good to buy a non-modular psu with some red-sleeved cable extensions or would that give me trouble with cable management or other things?)
Case: NZXT S340 red/black
I'm planning on playing games like Fallout 4, Skyrim (ultra modded), cs:go, overwatch, GTA V, Dark Souls 2/3, witcher 3, cod bo3. All on high to ultra graphics on min 50-60fps
I have a budget for around €700. I can get the gpu (gtx 970 4gb second handed for €220.
One big final question: I really like the looks of mini itx case such as the phantek enthoo evolv itx. What are the pro's and cons of building a mini atx build. And would it be much more expensive?
I know it's a lot of questions but if you guys have any comments, advice or ideas that might improve my current build I would be really thankful!!
