Western Digital External hard drive not showing up in my computer

I have a wd external hdd that is showing in devide manager but is not showing in my computer
the lights flash and it's spinning

Sorry to hear about the problems you're having with your drive. :(

Have you experienced any issues with the drive before? Do you need to recover data from that HDD? Would you please be so kind as to post a screenshot of what you see in Disk Management?

It might need you to assign it a new drive letter: How to change the drive letter assignment in Windows.

However if this does not help, you could try the drive with a different USB cable and a different computer, to see if the same thing happens.
