I need help regarding to my 2nd HDD Installation. I have either not installed it correctly, or I need a SATA interface cable. I already have the SATA power connector, but no interface cable in the 2nd HDD , there is already a 1st HDD in the computer with 500gb, which is the main boot device. I cannot see the 2nd HDD in my Devices/Drives. do I need the interface cable, or some sort of driver for the 2nd HDD?

Yes, you need a SATA data cable. This goes from the motherboard to the HDD.
Welcome to the community, LucAU_!

It would be really helpful if you share more details about your system configuration/ PC specs. I'd also recommend you check if both your HDDs are recognized properly in BIOS and also check Disk Management in Windows. If it's a brand new drive, it should be listed as unallocated drive with a black bar in Diks Management.
You will need to initialize the drive, and then partition & format it from there. This will make the HDD's capacity available from the File Explorer (My Computer/This PC).
If you still face issues with the recognition of the drive there, swap the SATA cable and make sure you have mounted the drive properly inside the PC.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted with the troubleshooting! :)

I just wanted to point out that it is not in the "unallocated drive" in Disk Managment, and that its not recognized anywhere on the PC. (on a side note, I can hear the 2nd HDD's fan running)

This seems unfortunate, @ LucAU_! :( Did you make sure you have connected the HDD properly ?
Do you have access to another computer? If you do, try plugging the HDD there and see if it will get properly recognized there. If it spins up, then it should get detected in BIOS at least. I'd also suggest you try resetting BIOS and see if getting the settings back to factory defaults will help you recognize the HDD. I'd also suggest you check if the SATA port where the drive is connected to is enabled from the BIOS.

Let me know how the troubleshooting is going. Posting some screenshots would be really helpful, too.
