Hi leakymutant1,
So to go down through your list,
-The fans are fine, they'll work with any motherboard that has 3-4 pin headers. (Every motherboard if your new to PC building)
-The case is fine, it supports ATX motherboard. It comes with a 140 and 120mm fan according to the Corsair website.
-The motherboard is fine (Will go into more detail if problems on specific component)
-The CPU is compatible with the mobo.
-The GPU is compatible with the mobo.
-The SSD is fine, though the motherboard does support an M.2 slot, so may I suggest looking into getting an M.2 SSD. Much faster read/write speeds.
-The CPU cooler should fit, as Corsair advertises room for liquid cooling in the front of the case.
-The PSU doesn't have a single 8-pin connector which the GPU needs, but it uses a 6+2pin configuration instead which is the same, they just snap together and slot in the same as a single 8-pin would.
-The RAM is fine, although there is mention of Corsair and Asus teaming up to make some ROG Dominator RAM, so maybe give that a google before finalising your pick.
-Windows 10 is perfectly fine, I have the exact same.
Some recommendations,
Use the DisplayPort port on the GPU if your monitor supports it, is is currently regarded as the best standard.
This Crucial 512GB M.2 SSD only costs about $60 more than the Samsung Evo, and will give you great speed benefits. Look into getting one perhaps, and have a google around about them to fine tune your pick. https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-512GB-Internal-Solid-CT512M550SSD4/dp/B00ITFZTHC
You could also look into an NVMe SSD.
If you have any further questions, feel free to ask, you can also PM me if you want.
Hope this helps you out!
Damian

Hi, I have a few suggestions for you.

For the PSU I suggest switching to the Corsair HX750i, I use it myself in a similar build and it's about the same price. I think if you can go corsair, then go corsair. I'm super happy with this PSU.

If you wouldn't mind cutting down on the cost, I suggest you find a cheaper Z170 motherboard, I'm pretty sure that's overkill.
I personally am also into smaller cases, and you can actually get all of these components running on an ITX motherboard.
You can also cut costs on the RAM but I assume you like the look of those sticks. The clock speed of RAM doesn't really matter very much.
According to Intel's specs for the CPU, it cuts the ram speed down to 2133 Mhz anyway, but I'm not an expert on this and you shouldn't take my word for it. Just look into that.

As Damian mentioned, you should look for an NVMe or M.2/PCIe capable SSD as they work faster and speed appears to be what you're after.
I wish you the best of luck with your power rig build!

-Fans are fine
-The case is fine, but if you are on a budget, there are much cheaper mid tower cases, such as the NZXT s340 for $70
-If you're fine with spending that much on a motherboard, fine, but I feel like it might be overkill. Check out some Z170 boards from Gigabyte, they have some between $120 and $150
-Great CPU, a total powerhouse. Compatible with motherboard
-GPU is also a beast, compatible with the motherboard. Though MSI's 1080s aren't amazing for the price in my opinion. If you want of spend that much on a 1080, check out the EVGA FTW 1080 or wait for the Classified 1080. But if you want you can keep the MSI one
-Great SSD
-Great Cooler
-PSU is fine, kind of expensive for 750 watts though. I would recommend a Corsair CX750M PSU, it's about $70 to $80 most of the time
-If you want the Dominator Platinum, fine, but for 16gb DDR4, that's kind of expensive. Check out some DDR4 from GSkill, much cheaper
-Windows 10, really good gaming performance. Good choice there

Just some tips for your PC. You don't have to follow them, just my suggestions.
