Hi guys, after migrating windows 10 from my hard drive to my new SSD (Sandisk SSD plus 120GB) I've noticed how the actual storage shown in the "This PC" window to be the same as the old HDD, which was 75GB. I used EaseUS Todo 9.2 to migrate, and i was wondering how i can correct the partition to allow me to have the 120GB without removing windows and reformatting?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Here's a screenshot of the disc management window, anyone know how to make the unallocated space into the (C:) drive storage as well?

Then I'm afraid you have no choice but to use a 3rd party utility like Partition Wizard. It allows you to move a partition, and if it does not, per se, then merge partitions, resize the new merged partition such that data is at the end versus at the beginning, and in the end you get the unallocated partition adjacent to the Win 10 to finally merge the two together.

It allows you to see actions you have specified, undo actions, etc...before applying all actions.

Can you post a screencap of your Disk Management window?

I use Partition Wizard for these things. Does EaseUS Todo 9.2 allow you to move an unallocated partition?

If yes, make sure this unallocated partition is moved/positioned immediately next to and after the Win 10 partition. This Win 10 partition is the largest partition. DO NOT remove, touch the other smaller partitions created by the Win 10 installation. They are part of UEFI, Recovery, etc.

With the unallocated partition in the right position, select the Win 10 partition and select from the EaseUS menu the option to extend/expand/merge, and choose the unallocated partition as the extend/expand/merge. Apply the chosen action and you should be right.

Unfortunately, no. EaseUS Todo 9.2 does not allow me to move the unformatted partition, but i get the option from disk management to extend a volume, but it is greyed out. Is there not a way to make this action accessible, and do as you have described from the disk management window?

You can try using disk management.
Right-click on your Win 10 partition and see if the option to extend is there. If yes, you're good to go. If greyed out, then it does not see an adjacent partition for you to extend to.

Partition Wizard is freeware by the way.

Edit: Thinking about it, the grey out is probably because it is unformatted. Try right-click on an adjacent formatted partition, see if there is a move option. Depending on how far/near it is to the Win 10 partition, you may have to move more than once until the unformatted partition is adjacent to and to the right of the Win 10.

it is greyed out because of that small partition between it and the empty space., to expanded it you would need to move or delete that recovery partition that I have no idea what would be on it as its only 450mb big. no idea if anything that is needed is on it

I have no problem with using Partition Wizard. If it will allow me to move the partition and merge/extend it into the uncallocated space, then it has fulfilled the purpose i need it for :)

After trying Macrium Reflect and getting no different results, I used Partition Wizard and extended the storage partition to fully use the unallocated space. Thanks! :)

Macrium didn't work? Interesting.
I did exactly this, moving between 2 drives of the same size.
Worked perfectly.
