It uses your system memory for VRAM. Usually it reserves around 512mb to 1gb and then can use more if needed. The problem of course is system ram is far slower than dedicated VRAM.
soo if i have 16 gigs of ram.. Then how much VRAM would Intel graphics would use?
It would only use what it needed, starting at about 512 mb, but you can either manually set the cap, or set no cap and just let it use what it needs, likely it will never go beyond 1gb or so. There really is no reason to manually set a cap, just let it work on its own it will never run out, it will use what it needs and leave the rest for your system. 16gb is plenty overall.
