Thanks for you attention.

Everything was going alright until one day I installed Assasins Creed Black Flag. I was playing it in 4K with everything on low but the fps weren't enogh so I lowered the resolution to 2560x1440 when to my surprise I noticed I barely gained any fps. Then switched to 1080 and same thing, barely any increase in fps.
It was obvious to me that the GPU wasn't working as it should but tried to continue playing until the computer restarted automatically and had no video signal when it turned on.

Despite that the 3 fans the GPU spin at max speed everytime I turn it on and it keeps like that every second I use the computer with the IGPU. There are some exceptions though when GPU fans are not working at full speed but are spinning and when I get into Windows they spin faster but don't get to full speed (as the normal GPU behaviour would be)

Since then I have been using the IGPU on my 4770k but I would obviously like to see if there is anyway to rescue my GTX 780. It is especifically a Gainward GTX 780 Phantom 6Gb

There are several things I have tried:

  • Switching the GPU to a different PCI slot

    Resetting BIOS

Looking if there is dirt on the GPU or the PCI connection and try to clean it (almost no dirt, but cleaned it though)

Removing all Nvidia drivers with DDU (this program said it detected the GTX 780 but I am assuming it did from some sort of registry of the drivers and not from actually detecting the GPU since I restarted afterwards without even touching the hardware and noticed the GPU still didn't show on the Device Manager.

Removing unnecesary hardware from the build for my testing to see if its a power problem (I have a Fractal Design 1000W modular PSU so I didn't think that was the problem but I still tried it.) I also tried changing the cable from one connection to another in the PSU, can't change to a new cable though since I only have that one.

I tried to dissable the IGPU from the BIOS if this was preventing the GPU to be detected or to properly work and setting the corresponding PCI connection I was using as Display Output in the BIOS too.

Tried unscrewing the GPU and reconnecting it

Tried using the Displayport port insted of the HDMI ruling out a port failure
Conclusion

So far nothing has worked but the GPU is still turning on with all its 3 fans working full load despite not giving any video output.

I have tried everything I can think about. Somebody knows anything I haven't tried before ginving up? No matter how much I would like to buy some of those new powerful Nvidia cards buying any new GPU right new is out of my budget so making this one work again would be the best possible solution. If now I will have to stick to the IGPU of my processor.

Thanks in advance
