why do games connect with my vpn but not with my original internet connection ?

usually when i try to play most games they dont connect to the server but when i use a vpn the games connect how do i fix this? i want to use my default internet to play games i have also tried port fowarding and it doesn't work on my default internet connection

This could a situation where your country of origin/region is not allowed to join some servers. What games are you trying to play?

When you purchase games, where are you purchasing from? Steam?

Are you purchasing via the VPN or your actual location's ISP?

well most of the games are free online games but the steam client does not connect with my isp but it works with the vpn as well as the other games

Possibly because some of those servers are blocked by your ISP or not available in your country.
