Hey guys, hope everyone is having a happy fourth of July. This is my first ever computer build, so I am very definitely a novice. My specs include:

  • i7-4770k(stock clock speeds)
    Zotac Reference GTX 780Ti
    8GB DDR3-1333Mhz Corsair Dominator RAM
    480GB Corsair Neutron SSD
    Phanteks P400 Case
    ASUS ROG Maximus VI Motherboard
The problem I am having is my H100 Water Block will not turn on and cool the CPU. I have completely screwed in the water block, have installed two fans for the radiator, applied thermal paste. Both fans are plugged into my Chassis 1 and 2 slots, leaving Chassis 3, CPU_Fan, and CPU_Optional left open. I plug the Water Block power connecter into all 3 remaining headers, none work. I shift the fans over, nothing works. I took out the Water Block and re-screwed it in to make sure it was screwed all the way in, still to no avail. Any suggestions?

Solution
Check Corsair's instructions. Generally their watercoolers require you plug in a SATA or molex power connector to power the pump and fans.

Generally it goes plug fans into pump, plug pump into SATA/Molex and CPU-Fan (RPM monitoring only) and then plug in the additional USB cable into a USB header (some models only).

Plugging it into my CPU_FAN header does not change anything. It still fails to function.

its possible the fans are not PWM fans or u may need to go into the bios and change the fan setting to PWM or if it is try changing to standard fan setting. i had a similar problem with my Antec 920

Thank you for your reply, but the fans on the radiator are working. The Water Block itself is not turning on when plugged in.
I will still try this, will report back with results

All the fans,as well as the chassis fans(2) are working as expected. I plugged the pumps 3-Pin connecter to molex convertor, which I then plugged into my PSUs molex power cord.
