customer brought in hp laptop he bought six months ago. it would not boot to windows nor show any loading logo of hp or windows. uefi was accessible within first minute of power on. was able to get it to boot off a windows 10 installation disk. after running virus scan was able to remove malware and viruses. power cycled computer a few times and it worked. had costomer come get it and he brought it back next day with same issue. would turn on to black screen only uefi accessible. booted it from dvd again was able to get it booting without disk again but on the 3rd or 4rth reboot would go back to black screen power on. ive tested with the battery in and without it and with a different power supply to check if it was that same results. think It may be the hard drive but not certain. only other thing to do is a reset or reinstall from the disk.

computer is an HP N2r26ua#aba

amd a10 8gb ram 1tb hard drive

It certainly sounds like a failing HDD. Since the BIOS is accessible, that eliminates a display issue (or fault power, etc).

There should be an option in the BIOS to require a key to be hit in order to boot if it detects an error. If it's not enabled, enable it. You should then be presented with what the BIOS is detecting (if it is infact detecting something) as an error.

Sounds like an HDD replacement is required.
