Hey there.
I'm planning to buy a PC that will be used for games, but I'm low on budget. I currently own a Q8400. I have everything except CPU and MOBO. I've found a good motherboard with Z77 chipset for a good price but that means that I'll have to buy a Sandy or Ivy bridge CPU. Of course, it's cheaper and that's a plus, but the question is are those CPUs old? If I go, for example with 2500k or 3570k, would that be enough, or should I even go with a non K processor. Is overclocking really necessary???
The games I'm going to play are Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1, GTA V and CS:GO (I can play this with a Q8400 pfff).
I'm looking for a CPU that can handle cards like RX 480 or GTX1060 in gaming for couple of years, until I get a new one, keep in mind that I want to spend as little as possible.
So, Sandy bridge or Ivy bridge, K or non K? Or maybe even B chipset motherboard and non K Haswell? I'm talking about used components, of course.
