Alright I am about to purchase my first gaming rig and I just wanted to get some extra thoughts on if this pc is optimized for the price range I am in. I will mostly be using this pc to play games like overwatch at 1080p and watching twitch.

With Z170 chipset, you will get a better feature set and the i5 6600k will give you better per core performance and consume less power doing it.

What is the reasoning behind both of those options? I have found that they very marginally better than the the parts I have. I'm juts curious as to how much better these are.

How long do you think it will take for the price to drop that much? Also If I am only really planning on playing at 1080p then is the 1070 worth it?

You could ditch the ssd and go for a M.2 SSD as they are way faster. You also might want to wait to see how the 1060 preforms when it is launched if nvidia is a must.
